Why this exists

Vendor consolidation gave purchasing tunnel vision.

When a facility's sourcing narrows to a handful of contracted suppliers, new and regional tissue banks lose any practical route to reach it — especially across state lines. Supply gets thinner, choice gets narrower, and grafts sit on shelves in one region while another region goes looking.

Traditional placement

Reaching buyers takes a sales force

  • Placement requires multiple layers of sales professionals and manual procurement coordination.
  • Purchasers can only buy what their existing vendors happen to carry.
  • Tissue Banks outside a region have almost no way to be discovered by facilities inside it.
  • Availability is quoted and confirmed by phone and email, not seen.
  • Nobody has market-level data, so inventory and pricing decisions are made on instinct.
With AlloPort

Discovery without displacing anything

  • Procurement keeps buying from its approved, contracted tissue banks — and can discover new ones alongside them.
  • Real-time inventory across participating tissue banks, in a single searchable view.
  • Automated customer communication and product education replaces layers of manual coordination.
  • A tissue bank of any size can be found by a qualified buyer in any region.
  • Quarterly market analytics turn placement into an evidence-based decision.
How it works

We move the order. Tissue Banks move the grafts.

AlloPort is not a distributor and is never involved in the chain of custody. That keeps the regulatory chain short, the accountability clear, and the relationship between the tissue bank and facility intact.

1 · Tissue Bank lists

Your inventory system connects to AlloPort, so stock levels, sizes and graft identifiers stay current automatically.

2 · Purchaser orders

A vetted buyer searches across participating tissue banks, sees what is actually in stock, and places the order.

3 · Tissue Bank ships direct

The tissue bank fulfils from its own inventory, under its own custody, straight to the facility.

AlloPort never takes custody. Tissue moves once — from the accredited tissue bank that recovered and processed it, straight to the facility that will implant it. One handoff, one chain of custody, one party accountable for the graft.

Live availability

Listings reflect what the tissue bank actually has on the shelf right now, not last quarter's catalog.

Your own sales page

Every tissue bank maintains its own storefront, credentials, and marketing materials on the platform.

Built-in product education

An AI layer surfaces product features, instructions for use, and company literature to buyers at the point of decision.

Less waste

Wider, faster discovery means fewer grafts reaching their expiry date before a patient needs them.

Who it's for

Built around what each side actually needs.

AlloPort was developed from a close reading of both sides of this market: tissue banks that need a route to buyers, and procurement managers who need speed, compliance confidence, and transparent availability.

A new commercial channel, without a new sales force.

Direct access to the surgical supply chain, better economics than traditional distribution, and the market data to decide what to produce next. Open to AATB-accredited, FDA-registered tissue banks of any size.

Start onboarding

Reach buyers beyond your region

Qualified purchasers in any state can find your inventory — the discovery route consolidation took away.

You keep custody and control

Tissue never leaves your facility until it ships to the implanting site. No consignment, no re-warehousing, no third party handling your grafts.

Better economics than distribution

A small processing fee replaces layers of sales professionals and manual coordination — keeping margin in R&D, acquisitions, and capital improvements.

Your own page, credentials and materials

Present your tissue bank properly: your literature, your product features, your instructions for use — not a line item in someone else's catalog.

You control what's visible

You decide what is listed, what is featured, and what is sequestered. Only non-confidential inventory data is ever accessed.

Keep your existing inventory system

AlloPort integrates directly into your existing inventory system. We do the heavy lifting when it comes to data management.

Quarterly market analytics

The market data this industry has never had.

Participating tissue banks receive quarterly reports on market behaviour at the product-category level. Not just a way to place more allografts — a way to decide what to produce, where to focus, and how to price.

  • Refine product strategy and inventory planning
  • Target regional sales focus where demand actually is
  • Benchmark competitive fees against real market ranges

Compare the models

A market, not a middleman.

"Direct" and "neutral" are different claims. A platform that curates which tissue banks it carries, or takes possession of tissue, is a distributor with a better website. Here is how the three models actually differ.

Comparison describes the three prevailing distribution models in the allograft market. Individual companies within each model vary; verify specifics with any vendor before contracting.

How neutrality is enforced

Neutrality is a structure, not a slogan.

An exchange earns trust by binding its own hands. These are the structural facts that let a tissue bank list without fear of being outranked, and a facility trust what it sees.

We are not a distributor

AlloPort does not recover, process, warehouse, or private-label tissue, and holds no inventory position. There is no house product for the platform to favour.

We are never in the chain of custody

Tissue Banks keep custody and ship directly to the facility. The graft passes through one pair of hands, not three.

Accreditation is the only entry bar

AATB accreditation and FDA registration qualify you. Not volume, not tenure, not exclusivity. A single-state tissue bank onboards on the same terms as a national one.

One fee, the same for everyone

The same small processing fee applies to every participating tissue bank equally, so no supplier can buy a better position in the market.

Your data is yours, and isolated

Tenant data is fully isolated with no code path that could return another tissue bank's data to your account. We never share, resell, or train external models on what you send us.

Every action is on the record

Administrative actions against your data write an immutable audit record — actor, action, target, metadata — available to you on request.

Security & data ownership

Built on infrastructure proven in 15 financial markets.

AlloPort runs on a system with a track record in markets where security and accuracy are non-negotiable. Connecting exposes only non-confidential inventory data — stock levels, sizes, and graft identifiers. Patient identifiers and donor records never leave your systems.

Tenant isolation

Enforced at the database layer. No code path returns another tissue bank's data to a query scoped to your account.

Read-only support access

Support staff use read-only "view-as" sessions. Every write attempt is rejected and logged.

Two-factor authentication

TOTP available on every account, with per-device sessions you can list and revoke from your own settings.

Key management

Per-tissue bank API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes — unrecoverable even by our own engineers — with instant revocation.

Encryption in transit and at rest

TLS 1.2+ in transit, encrypted object storage at rest, and compliance documents served via 15-minute signed URLs — never a public URL.

Immutable audit log

Every administrative action against your data writes a permanent record. Full history available on request.

We are actively aligning our infrastructure and operational controls toward SOC 2 and HIPAA-aligned security practices, including continuous audit logging, role-based access controls, encrypted backups, and formal access review procedures. A mutual Data Protection Agreement is signed before integration begins, with a 72-hour breach-notification commitment.

Getting connected

Takes about an hour of your team's time.

For your products to show current availability, your inventory data needs to flow to the platform automatically. We handle the technical side. You won't be asked to change your software, adopt new systems, or alter your workflows.

Step 01

Introductory call

One person who knows your systems — IT lead, data manager, whoever looks after your software. Usually an hour or less.

Step 02

We build the connection

Typically an API: a secure, automatic link between your system and ours. No emails, no uploads, no spreadsheets. If your systems don't work that way, we have other options.

Step 03

Testing and verification

We take it away, set it up, test it, and come back to you when it's working. Most tissue banks find it simpler than they expect.

Step 04

You go live

Your sales page, credentials and materials go up, and your live inventory becomes visible to vetted purchasers.

For your IT team: a full Technical Integration Guidelines document is available on request. A mutual Data Protection Agreement is signed before integration begins.

Pricing

One fee. Same for every tissue bank. None for buyers.

Traditional placement requires multiple layers of sales professionals and manual procurement coordination. AlloPort automates customer communication and basic education instead — which is what makes a single flat fee possible.

Expiry exposure estimator

What does short-dated tissue cost you today?

Grafts that expire unimplanted are the clearest waste in the category — a donor's gift written off as inventory shrink. Move the sliders to size your own exposure and how much of it wider discovery could recover.

Estimated annual value recovered

$129,600

Value of short-dated grafts that could reach a patient instead of a waste log.

Grafts expiring today240
Value written off today$288,000
Grafts redirected to a patient108
Remaining exposure$158,400

This estimator is illustrative and driven entirely by the values you enter. It is not a forecast, a guarantee of savings, or a claim about any organisation's performance. Recovery rates depend on tissue type, dating, geography and network density.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Does AlloPort ever handle the tissue?
No. AlloPort is not a distributor and is never involved in the chain of custody. We list inventory and process orders; the accredited tissue bank retains custody throughout and ships directly to the receiving facility.
What does it cost?
Nothing to the facility — there is no cost to purchasers for using AlloPort. Tissue banks pay a small processing fee on completed transactions, the same for every participating tissue bank regardless of size. That fee replaces the multiple layers of sales professionals and manual procurement coordination traditional placement requires. The full fee schedule is shared during onboarding.
Which tissue banks can list?
Only AATB-accredited, FDA-registered tissue banks are onboarded, and all surgical purchasers are fully vetted and qualified before they can transact. Accreditation is the entry bar — not volume, tenure, or exclusivity.
Do we have to change how we buy, or leave our current suppliers?
No. Procurement managers continue purchasing from their usual facility-approved and contracted tissue banks. AlloPort adds the ability to discover new suppliers alongside them. It is additive to your existing sourcing, not a replacement for it.
What data does AlloPort access?
Only non-confidential inventory data: stock levels, graft sizes, and graft identifiers. Patient identifiers and donor records never leave your systems. You retain full ownership of your data, and we never share, resell, or train external models on it. Tissue banks also control what is listed, what is featured, and what is sequestered.
How long does onboarding take, and what does it need from us?
A typical onboarding takes about three weeks. All we need from your end is one person who knows your systems — your IT lead or data manager — for a call of usually an hour or less. We handle the technical side from there, and you won't be asked to change your software or adopt new systems.
What if our inventory system doesn't have an API?
That's fine. An API is the most common way to set up an automatic link between two systems, but it isn't the only one. AlloPort integrates with virtually any inventory management and purchasing software, and we'll work with your team to find the best approach.
How is our data kept separate from other tissue banks'?
Tenant isolation is enforced at the database layer, so no code path returns another tissue bank's data to a query scoped to your account. Support staff use read-only "view-as" sessions with every write attempt rejected and logged, and every administrative action against your data writes an immutable audit record available to you on request.
What do the quarterly analytics include?
Market behaviour at the product-category level: demand trends, pricing ranges, buyer search patterns, availability gaps, and geographic demand concentrations. It is aggregate market intelligence — never another tissue bank's confidential data — and tissue banks use it to refine product strategy, inventory planning, regional sales focus, and competitive fees.
Who is AlloPort, and why should we trust you?
AlloPort's leadership includes Dr. James Forsell, former Chairman of the Association for Advancing Tissue and Biologics (AATB); Nikki Couloumbis, Founder of Allografts.com; and a veteran team of operators with collectively more than 100 years of healthcare experience assembled by serial entrepreneur Chris Fure.
Who is AlloPort

Built by people who have worked this supply chain.

AlloPort was developed from a deep understanding of the needs of both providers and purchasers of allografts — because many of the people who make up the company have been providers themselves, or have worked in and for tissue banks. We are not outsiders optimising an industry we have only read about.

We have sat on both sides

Members of our team have been clinical providers, and have worked inside and alongside accredited tissue banks. The procurement and fulfilment workflows this platform has to respect are ones we have run ourselves.

We have no stake in who wins

AlloPort is not a tissue bank and not a distributor. We do not recover, process, warehouse, or distribute tissue, and we are never in the chain of custody — so there is no inventory position and no house product for us to favour.

The platform is not a prototype

AlloPort runs on a system with a proven track record across 15 financial markets — environments where security, accuracy and auditability are non-negotiable.
